    Local Authorities

For more than 30 years Mangar has been supporting Local Authority occupational therapists and community equipment stores to provide assistive technology equipment to clients wanting to live independently in the community.  As the designers of the first powered bath lift, we have been providing bathroom, bedroom and patient lifting equipment that allows independence since 1981.  Products are both durable and reliable, enabling us to support Local Authorities in their duty to promote an individual’s well-being in a number of years, including personal dignity.

We are well recognised for our product lines in bathroom, bedroom, and patient lifting equipment and are constantly adding to our portfolio.  Our most recent addition is a pressure care equipment range, which includes an automated patient turner with sensor control.  Called Ekamove, it is the most flexible patient turner available and cuts the amount of time carers are required to turn patients.  The Ekamove will turn a patient at any angle between 0° and 30° with dwell time options between 10 minutes and 2 hours.

    Book a demonstration

For an introduction to our product range please book a roadshow with your local Mangar area representative.  Alternatively, we will be at a number of shows and exhibitions throughout the year including OT Show at the NEC, OTAC in Newcastle, OTAC in Cardiff and NAEP.

    How can we help?

We support Local Authority healthcare staff with a range of services including literature, videos, clinical business case studies, roadshows, and training.  Supported by Kate Sheehan from the OT Service, we have developed two CPD accredited training modules in bathing and falls.  Endorsed by the College of OTs, the modules are free of charge to Occupational Therapists and can be booked online.

In addition, our Check and Assess Service is available to Stores Managers to keep a check on our equipment and make sure it’s fit for purpose.

Don’t forget we are also happy to accompany OTs on joint assessments.  We are committed to making sure clients always receive equipment which will support them in their independence.

    FAQ’s

    • Can I leave the battery on charge all the time?
    • Yes, and we recommend you do. The Airflo 12 and the Airflo 24 may remain continuously on charge when not in use as the batteries cannot be overcharged.

    Servicing and Warranties

To ensure optimum performance of your Mangar product you may want to consider an annual service. Our service engineer will call your home, at a time convenient for you to make sure all equipment and parts are in good working order.

You can purchase service packages over one, three or five years and from 26p a day have the peace of mind that your equipment is covered in case of breakdown, including spare parts and call out charges.

Our extended warranty plan is straightforward - no part costs, no policy excess and no delivery charges. From as little as 10p per day, you can be confident that if anything goes wrong with your equipment, it will be working again before you know it.
