Do you have residents that fall?
Every day in the UK, 1000 residents living in care homes will fall. Ensuring residents are lifted safely and in a dignified way is a daily challenge for healthcare professionals and one that over the years has contributed to musculoskeletal injuries for many working in the sector.
At Mangar, we offer a new solution to lifting which protects workers from injuries and allows residents who fall a quick, easy way to return to their feet or seat. The Mangar lifting cushions, Camel and ELK are recognised by Ambulance Trusts in the UK as the best way to lift fallen people and provide an easy to use, efficient solution to lifting.
If you have residents living with dementia who have the propensity to fall, talk to us about the Camel as your manual handling solution of choice. Customers report residents become far less distressed when lifted on a Camel as they keep their feet firmly on the ground and enjoy the feeling of being lifted on a chair.
The most flexible patient turning system available
Mangar has also introduced an innovative pressure care patient turning system to our portfolio. Managing pressure wounds for the frail and those near end of life is a job that takes dedication, great care and time to deliver effectively.
Support your care staff with the Ekamove automated patient turning system. It can be set up to turn a resident to any angle between 0° and 30° with flexible dwell times to suit the needs of the resident.
Once set to go, your carers no longer need to turn a resident on an hourly or two-hourly basis. The system will gently turn as programmed on a continuous basis, freeing care staff for alternative duties.
The Ekamove is so quiet and allows residents to get a peaceful night’s sleep. Talk to us about a free demonstration.
