The Care Act advocates the need to safeguard people from harm with a key focus on achieving better outcomes for people who have care and support needs.
North Manchester CCG, Aneurin Bevan Health Board and Wandsworth CCG identified ways in which they could achieve better outcomes for residents who may have had a fall in their care homes.
This was achieved by introducing more dignified falls equipment, to aid care home staff in moving uninjured residents, thus reducing the need to call an ambulance for assistance.
