    Airflo Care

    Charging your battery

The Airflo compressor is a vital part of your safe patient lifting equipment. Taking care of your Airflo Compressor and battery couldn’t be easier.  Find full instructions  in the user manual supplied or downloaded from this website.

The battery type used in the Airflo compressor is a Valve Regulated Lead Acid Batter.  It is safe to be left on charge continuously and won’t damage the battery or charger. The cost of leaving it on charge constantly isn’t high and is similar to the cost of switching on a light bulb.

Airflo Care – To get the best performance from your Airflo battery, there are a few simple things you should consider:

    • When using the Airflo Compressor for the first time make sure the battery has been charged overnight.
    • After every use of the compressor make sure the battery has been fully charged.
    • Do not charge the battery in a damp place, like the bathroom.
    • If you plan to store your compressor for a long period of time ensure you fully charge the battery at least every three months.
    • You can check the battery status using lights on the side of the compressor. A steady green light indicates that the battery is fully charged.
    • When charging your battery it is not unusual for the charger to get warm.

    Airflo Compressor maintenance

If you have a fully charged battery but are finding you’re getting fewer lifting cycles from your compressor , the battery may be coming to the end of its life. Luckily, the battery is easy to replace.

    • Replacement batteries should only be obtained directly from Mangar Health or from your product supplier.
    • Other than continually charging the battery and annual inspection of the air filter, the Airflo compressors are maintenance free.

    Traveling overseas with your compressor

If you are planning on taking your bathing products and Airflo with you on a flight, it is essential that the battery is kept within the Airflo.  Do not remove it to travel.  If you are unsure or have any questions please check with your airline as they will be able to give you further guidance regarding batteries.

To prevent the Airflo from operation whilst in transit, please ensure you take the following precautions:

Airflo Plus – Remove the battery pack and cover all battery terminals with insulation tape before refitting the battery.

Airflo Mk3 – Disconnect the hand controller from the Airflo before flying.
