    Original Patient Specific Slings

    Mangar disposable clip and loop slings are manufactured by the original patient specific sling company and have been widely used and trusted in the UK for 15 years. Our Slings are available to purchase direct and are also available through SBS and NHSSC Frameworks.

    The original patient specific clip slings have been designed to be used with a four-point hoist clip system with or without powered positioning. They are perfect for avoiding cross contamination and can be disposed of after the patient is discharged from your care. The clip slings will support a SWL of 272kg, regardless of the size of sling.
    NEW: The new clip design improves safety, security, and product compatibility with leading manufacturers of hoists.

    The patient specific loop slings are designed specifically to work in conjunction with a lifter/hoist which has spreader bars equipped with a hooking system. The loop slings will support a SWL of 290kg, regardless of the size of sling.

    Rigorous checks before dispatch from the factory means you can be confident in the quality of the product. Every sling is load tested and is compatible with the majority of hoists used in hospitals, care homes and community settings

    Who is eligible for VAT relief?

    To be eligible for VAT relief the government says you have to fit the following criteria:

    1. Charities – with a registered charity number.
    2. A person is ‘chronically sick or disabled‘ if he/she is a person:

    ✔ With a physical or mental impairment which has a long-term and substantial adverse effect upon his/her ability to carry out everyday activities;

    ✔ Have a condition that doctors treat as a chronic sickness (e.g. diabetes).

    ✔ Who is terminally ill.

    Guidance on eligibility is available from the National Advice Service on 0300 200 3700.

    • You won’t qualify if you are only temporarily disabled or incapacitated, such as suffering from a broken leg or another temporary injury.
    • Neither will you qualify if you are elderly but are otherwise able-bodied and don’t suffer from any chronic condition.
